Les Feldick Bible Study

What are the two areas into which God divides everything in Scripture and how are their promises different?

God divides Scripture between the nation of Israel and the body of Christ. Israel is earthly, and all her promises are earthly. The body of Christ, the New Testament Grace Age Church, is heavenly; believers are citizens of heaven, and all their promises are heavenly.

Les teaches that God has divided everything in Scripture between these two areas. The nation of Israel is earthly, and all her promises are earthly. The body of Christ, the New Testament Grace Age Church, is heavenly; you and I are citizens of heaven, and all of our promises are heavenly. Les points to the two verses: “Count the dust of the earth, so shall thy seed be,” and “Count the stars in heaven, so shall thy seed be.” In Genesis 17, Les also notes another addition to the Abrahamic covenant: Sarai is renamed Sarah, she will bear a son named Isaac, and God establishes His covenant with Isaac rather than Ishmael, though He does not cast off the people of Ishmael as nothing.
