Les Feldick Bible Study

Who was Paul sent to primarily, and who was Peter sent to primarily?

Paul was sent primarily to the Gentiles, while Peter was sent primarily to the Jews. God raised up Saul of Tarsus, known as Paul, for the Gentile mission, whereas Peter’s earlier ministry in Acts was directed primarily to the Jew.

Les explains that after Israel rejected and crucified their Messiah, and Peter could not get him to believe in the early chapters of Acts, God raised up that other little Jew, Saul of Tarsus, known as Paul, and sent him primarily to the Gentiles. Just as Paul went primarily to the Gentiles, Peter went primarily to the Jew. Les also points out that just as there were Gentile exceptions when God dealt with Jews, there are certainly individual Jews who can be saved in the age of grace. He further stresses that the tribulation is primarily God dealing with the nation of Israel, not the church.
