Who else besides Paul was willing to be blotted out of God's book for Israel?

Moses is the other figure. He pleaded with God to spare Israel, asking that his own name be blotted out of the book of life if it would help. Paul likewise expressed willingness to be accursed from Christ because of his love for the Jewish people.

Les teaches that the context is Paul’s deep burden for Israel. Paul says he has great heaviness and continual sorrow in his heart and could wish himself accursed from Christ because of his love for the Jew. Les then asks who else said almost the same thing, and answers Moses. Moses pleaded, “Oh God, spare this people, and if it will help, blot my name out of the book of life, but spare Israel.” This fits Romans 9, where Paul turns from Gentile doctrine to deal with Israel’s past, present, and future.
