In Philippians 2:7, who made Jesus of no reputation?

Philippians 2:7 teaches that Jesus Christ made Himself of no reputation. The Sovereign Creator God, who Jesus Christ is and was, voluntarily did this. He took upon Himself the form of a servant, was made in the likeness of men, and humbled Himself.

Les explains that in Philippians 2:7 Paul says Christ made Himself of no reputation. Les asks who made Him that way, and answers that He did—the Sovereign Creator God that Jesus Christ is and was. The verse continues that He took upon Himself the form of a servant, was made in the likeness of men, and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. This fits the passage from Philippians 2:5–8, where Paul says, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”
