Where does our predetermined position come from?

It comes from the determinate counsel of the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who in eternity past agreed together before creation. That same predeterminate counsel, referenced in Acts chapter 2, established the position God prepared for each of us; it was put there before anything was ever created.

Les explains that in eternity past God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit came together and by a determinate agreeing of their three minds decided to create the universe, and they decided to put in little old planet earth, and on it they would put the human race. They knew in foreknowledge that the human race would fall in the man Adam, and they knew in that predeterminate counsel that one person of the triune God would have to be a Redeemer. Everything moved according to that predeterminate counsel of Acts chapter 2. Then, as the small part of that whole big picture, here we come. According to that same triune counsel, that same triune meeting of the minds, God put the finger on every one of us and said, 'I have a place waiting for you.' Therefore we are in that predetermined position that was put there by the counsel of the triune God before anything was ever created. Les notes the argument that follows: Are we elected or chosen before we had anything to do about it, while the opposite party says it was all our own free will and we decided to choose salvation. Les responds, 'Well now wait a minute. Yes, whosoever will sits over here.'
