Why is the fall of Adam the central problem in Scripture?

Adam's rebellion brought the curse upon all creation, so Scripture points back to the fall as the vortex of the human problem. The creation was made subject to vanity, and everything—animate and inanimate—came under the curse's awful effects, making God's promised remedy in Genesis 3:15 necessary.

Les teaches that the moment Adam sinned, the curse fell, and everything came under it—inanimate, animate, the birds, the fish. The curse causes great desert areas like the Sahara and all that has made the planet what it is today. Genesis 3 records Eve partaking and then Adam, and Les explains this is the event all of Scripture points back to as the vortex of the human problem, the fall of Adam. Yet as soon as the curse fell, God came back with a remedy. In Genesis 3:15 God made a promise, and the tribulation will pay off the curse so the world and all of nature will be delivered from it.
