What does creation know about the curse and its future removal?

All creation is aware that it was subjected to the curse, not willingly but by the One who subjected it in hope, and it knows the day is coming when that curse will be lifted. Scripture says God provided a remedy through the Redeemer, the Son, and the seed of the woman.

Les explains that as soon as the curse fell, the present ecology was set up, with one species feeding on another—leopards stalking deer or zebras, birds robbing other birds’ nests. That is not the way God created it; it is the result of the curse. Yet creation itself is aware that it was subjected to the curse and that the day is coming when the curse will be lifted. Paul writes in Romans 8:20 that the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who subjected the same in hope. Les points out that as soon as the curse fell, God came back and said He had a remedy, which would be through the Redeemer, through the Son, and through the seed of the woman.
