Why are we separated from God because of Adam?
We are separated from God because of Adam's fall. Adam was the federal head of the whole human race, so his fall brought separation upon all humanity. Scripture declares everyone has come short of the glory of God, meaning no one can enter God's heaven unless God does something on our behalf.
Les explains that the first step of faith on the road to salvation is recognizing that in ourselves we are lost, like sheep without a shepherd. The separation from God comes because of the fall of Adam, who was the federal head of the whole human race. Consequently, Scripture says everyone has come short of the glory of God, meaning we cannot enter God's heaven unless God does something on our behalf. In witnessing, asking 'Why should God let you into His heaven?' often reveals that people overlook Romans 3.
