Why did Jesus come in the flesh?

Jesus came in the flesh to deal with the old Adam by getting down at man's level, in man's frame of flesh, so that He might condemn sin and the flesh. God sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh for this purpose.

Les teaches that God sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh. Jesus Christ was the Creator God of Genesis 1, the One who spoke and the universe came into being, and the One who spoke and Adam came up out of the dust of the ground. Yet He came in the likeness of sinful flesh. Les explains that this is something he still cannot comprehend except through the eyes of faith. The purpose of His coming was to deal with the old Adam: He condemned the old Adam and the flesh. He got right down at man's level, in man's frame of flesh, that He might condemn sin and the flesh. That was His whole purpose of coming.
