What happened when Paul tried to do something glorious for God?

Whenever the Apostle Paul attempted to do something glorious for God, the devil opposed him. This reflects the principle that when one would do good, evil is present, and the more one tries to please the Lord, the more Satan attacks.

Les teaches that Paul faced this same opposition: whenever he attempted to do something that was glorious for God, the devil opposed him. This illustrates the law of life Paul describes—when I would do good, evil is present with me—and the more you try to do what is pleasing to the Lord, the more Satan is going to attack. Les applies this to his own ministry, saying he lives in constant fear of satanic attack and relies on the prayers of the saints for protection. He urges believers to constantly pray for one another because we are up against an adversary who does not like anything we are doing. Satan also attacks people influential in getting the program going, though so far God has protected them.
