What happens to the saving grace of God after death?

The saving grace of God does not stop at the grave; it carries those who enjoy it beyond death into everlasting life and eternal abiding with God Himself. This grace is God's gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, contrasted with sin's wages of death, and it continues into eternity rather than ending at death.

Les explains that if we enjoy the saving grace of God in this life, that is one thing, but it is not going to stop at the grave. It will take us right on into everlasting life, that eternal abiding with God Himself. He notes this is what Paul burned himself out for. Les also contrasts the wages of sin—the old Adam—which is death, the second death, eternal doom, with the opposite: the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The key word, Les says, is gift, and as soon as you contribute something to the cost of that gift, it is no longer a gift. So saving grace extends past death into eternal life.
