What does it mean that God made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light?

God the Father has prepared and qualified believers to share in the inheritance belonging to the saints who are in light. This is a finished work: He delivered us from darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son, so we are no longer in darkness but now in light.

Les explains that "meet" means prepared, and that God has gotten everything so this can work. The Father made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, so we are no longer in darkness but now in light. This connects with verse 13, where God the Father has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. It is already done, a finished transaction, like being baptized into it or engulfed by it.
