Who will reign in life forever, according to this explanation of Romans 5?
Those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life forever, forever and forever. Their reign is not earned by works but rests on Christ Jesus, the second Adam, who accomplished everything necessary to bring fallen humanity back to Himself.
Les explains that death reigned through Adam’s offense, but much more, those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign. He says this reign is like a king reigning in life, eternal life, forever and forever, because of one Christ Jesus and not because of what we do. Adam was the federal head of the human race and plunged everyone into condemnation, but the second Adam accomplished everything necessary to bring fallen man back to Himself. The only difference now is that there must be an exercise of will.
