Les Feldick Bible Study

What has the cross done with the entire trainload of sin that every person carries?

The cross has canceled the whole trainload of sin that every person carries and has paid for it in full by the work of the cross. Because of this free gift, many offenses result in justification, not condemnation, and believers can rest by faith rather than wondering about eternity.

Les explains that every one of us is guilty of a whole trainload of sin, but those sins have all been canceled and all been paid for by the work of the cross. The free gift is of many offenses unto justification. Les contrasts Adam, whose one offense brought condemnation, with the free gift that brings justification. This is beyond our comprehension, so it must be taken by faith. The purpose is that a person who has placed faith in the Gospel need not worry about where they will spend eternity but can rest in the finished work.
