What condition are we born into because of Adam?

Les explains that we are not guilty sinners because we ate of a forbidden fruit, nor are we guilty in the similitude of Adam's sin. Adam did that; we did not eat of the forbidden tree or do anything to merit condemnation. Instead, we inherited it because we are sons of Adam. Les teaches that we are immediately born into this world spiritually dead, spiritually destitute, and spiritually an enemy of God. God decreed that everyone coming from Adam would be a fallen creature, but He also provided a way to restore that fallen creature to his original state if they believe. Les emphasizes that this has always been by faith, from Adam and Eve through the Old Testament, and that through Jesus Christ God has reconciled the human race, paid the debt, and made everything possible to bring men back to Himself.
