What was Adam's condition when God created him?

When God created him, Adam was perfect, with not an ounce of sin and not a sinful thought. He was as pure as Christ Himself was in His earthly advent. That condition did not last long; after one act of disobedience, he became a sin-natured individual.

Les teaches that when Adam was created, he was perfect, with not an ounce of sin in him and not a sinful thought. He was as pure as Christ Himself was in His earthly advent. But this condition did not last long. Les notes that the rabbis probably feel it lasted long enough for Eve’s first ovulation, about 28 days, but whatever the case, as soon as Adam took that simple step of disobedience in the garden—eating the forbidden fruit—he immediately became a sin-natured individual. From then on, all he could constantly think, in spite of himself, was that which was contrary to the very laws of his Creator God. Every human being has inherited that sin nature ever since. So, as Les explains, we are not sinners because we break the law, but we break the law because we are sinners, and we are sinners because we are sons of Adam.
