What would have happened to humans if Satan had not been allowed into the garden?
Had Satan not been permitted into the garden, sin would not have entered, and the human race would have been left without choice. People would not have exercised their own will, but would have been like robots rather than created beings able to accept or reject God's offer of salvation.
Les teaches that it was in the sovereign workings of God that man should be left with an alternative. If Satan had not been permitted to come into the garden and sin had not entered, the human race would have been without choice, like robots. But humans are not robots; they are created beings given a choice, able to reject or accept God's tremendous offer of salvation.
