What did the triune God agree on before creation?
Before anything was created, the triune God agreed on creation, on mankind, knowing mankind would sin, and they set up the plan of salvation. In that eternal purpose, the Son would come down, die, and be raised from the dead.
Les explains that before anything was ever created, the triune God had a meeting in eternity past. Not that they had to sit around a table and debate back and forth, but the Trinity got together and agreed on creation and on mankind, knowing mankind would sin. They set up the plan of salvation, out of which the Son would come down, die, and be raised from the dead. This was all part of the eternal purpose God implemented before anything was created.
