What was God's plan for the man He chose?
God planned to take one man in whom He could find a particle of faith and who would be obedient to what He told him. He would make that man a whole group of promises and covenants, bring a special race of people from him, and work a plan of salvation through that race.
Les teaches that after about 2000 years of dealing patiently with the early people, God said He would do something still different. He would take one man in whom He could find a particle of faith, who would be obedient to what God told him. God would make him a whole group of promises and covenants, and out of him bring a special race of people different than all the other nations on the planet. Through that race, God would work a plan of salvation. Les also notes that as soon as God revealed even the embryonic part of that plan of redemption, the devil kicked into high gear, which is the basic reason the Jews have suffered so much.
