Why did God stop sending people down into paradise after Christ's true atonement?

Once Christ's true atonement was accomplished, there was no longer any reason to send people down into paradise. Paradise was taken directly to heaven, and Old Testament saints' sins were now totally atoned for by virtue of the shed blood of Christ.

Les explains that once the true atonement had been accomplished, there was no reason to send people down into paradise; paradise was taken directly to heaven. Paul is reminding us this includes not only the New Testament believer but also the Old Testament saint, whose sins were now totally atoned for by the shed blood of Christ. Les also ties this to Paul's declaration of God's righteousness: we have nothing good, no righteousness, nothing to barter; like Israel at the Red Sea, we are helpless and hopeless, but that is when God steps in, so He might be just. Les raises the question of how God can justly send someone to the eternal lake of fire who never heard the gospel, and the answer is that God is never unjust or unfair.
