What happens when a person believes like Isaiah?
When a person believes like Isaiah, immediately God clothes them with the garments of salvation and covers them with the robe of righteousness. This fulfillment is the full opposite of the condemnation seen in Romans 3, replacing wrath with salvation and covering the believer completely.
Les explains that believing is simply accepting what God has said, with no energy or work involved. When a person does believe like Isaiah, the promises become fulfilled immediately: God clothes them with the garments of salvation and covers them with the robe of righteousness. This stands in full contrast to the condemnation described in Romans 3, because God has provided His Word and teachers so people can understand that all they must do is believe.
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
