Why did people before the Flood become so corrupt and violent?
Before the Flood, people had no organized worship, no temple, and no religion to restrain them. Because nothing controlled their thinking, they went completely down the tube and became corrupt and violent. Their corruption and violence resulted from having nothing to control their thinking.
Les explains that before the Flood there was never an instance of idolatry, no religion of sorts, no temple worship of any kind, and no organized worship. Yet man still went completely down the tube. He became corrupt and violent because there was nothing to control his thinking. After the Flood, eight people had a knowledge of God, but within 200 years their expanding population gathered at the Tower of Babel and was ready to embrace pagan worship.
