What does the grape harvest in Revelation 14 symbolize?
The ripe grapes and clusters of the vine picture God gathering the residue of humanity still living, drawing them to the Middle East under military auspices at the end of the Tribulation, where the world's armies assemble around Jerusalem for the final battle of Armageddon.
Les teaches that Revelation 14 comes at the end of the Tribulation, after all the horrible events that man has never yet experienced. The scene shifts to those surviving in the armies of the world, all gathered around Jerusalem for that last great battle of Armageddon. An angel with a sharp sickle is told to thrust it in and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for the grapes are fully ripe. Les explains this is symbolic language of God gathering the residue of humanity still living, gathering them there in the Middle East under military auspices, not describing a literal grape harvest.
And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
