Why does Les say people don't hear about the wrath of God, and is it coming?
Christendom has been lulled to sleep by messages that avoid any mention of God's wrath. People are afraid to talk about it and do not want to hear it. Nevertheless, Scripture declares that the wrath of God is coming, and no one will be able to hide from it.
Les teaches that Christendom has just been lulled to sleep with everything but any mention of the wrath of God. He says you do not hear it because people are afraid to talk about it and do not want to hear it, but the book says the wrath of God is coming. He illustrates this with wealthy people who, seeing the handwriting on the wall, buy property or even whole islands in the Caribbean, hoping for a safe escape from what is to come. Yet they cannot hide. Revelation shows kings, great men, rich men, chief captains, mighty men, bondmen, and free men hiding in the dens of the rocks of the mountains, calling for the mountains and rocks to fall on them and hide them from the face of Him on the throne and from wrath. Les also points to Revelation 9:20, where after all the death and destruction, the rest of the men not killed by the plagues still repented not of the works of their hands, worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see, hear, nor walk.
