Where is the first mention of God's wrath in Scripture?

The first mention of God's wrath in Scripture, with regard to God dealing with mankind, is in Psalms chapter 2. There the word itself appears, and the passage describes the nations rejecting the Anointed One, then God speaking to them in His wrath rather than grace or love.

Les explains that after covering the Gospels and Acts, he returns to Romans 1, noting that even though God destroyed the human race in the flood and dealt with Israel strenuously, that was disciplinary, not His wrath. He then directs us back to Psalms chapter 2, saying it is just about the first time the word is used regarding God dealing with mankind. In Psalm 2, the early verses speak of Jew and Gentile rejecting the Anointed One, which speaks of crucifying Him. Then verse 4 shows the Godhead laughing and holding the nations in derision, and after continued rejection, God speaks to them in His wrath, not in grace or love.
