Why won't death come when people cry for it during God's wrath?
Death won't come because God is pouring out His wrath on Christ-rejecting mankind, causing such suffering and mental anguish that they want to die, but He does not permit death to end it. Their cry for death is answered only by continued wrath, not relief.
Les teaches that the near-term wrath of God will not be an instantaneous destruction like the flood. Instead, God will cause mankind such suffering and mental anguish that, as Revelation says, they will cry out for the rocks and mountains to fall on them. They will cry for death, and it won't come, because God is just bringing down His wrath on Christ-rejecting mankind. Les also notes God will do this in absolute fairness and justness, and that more people live on the planet now than probably lived all the way back to Noah.
