What happens the moment a person is saved?

At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit performs an invisible act, placing every believer into the body of Christ, the Church Universal. This baptism by one Spirit joins all believers—Jew or Gentile, bond or free—into one body, which will one day be His Bride.

Les explains that this is another act of God that believers never felt, with no outside manifestation. The only way we know it happened is because the Book says it did. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, all believers, not just the elite or most spiritual, have been baptized by one Spirit into one body. That body is the Church Universal, including believers from whatever corner of the globe they may be. Whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, all have been made to drink into or partake of one Spirit. The Holy Spirit places every believer, the moment they are saved, into this body of Christ, which will one day be His Bride. Les emphasizes this is positional, not sexual.

1 Corinthians 12:13

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
