Do believers feel themselves being translated when they are saved?
No. Believers did not feel themselves suddenly taking a trip or sense being in one place and then another. Scripture says the translation has already happened in past tense, done at the moment of belief. God the Father delivered them from darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son, and it is appropriated by faith.
Les teaches that salvation includes things God did instantaneously the moment we believe, none of which we could do in the flesh; we appropriate them by faith. He notes that although believers were translated, they did not feel themselves suddenly taking a trip or sense moving from one place to another. Yet Scripture speaks of it as past tense and done. In Colossians 1:12-13, Paul prays, giving thanks to the Father who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light and has delivered us from the power of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. Les points out that sermons on being translated into the kingdom are rare, and this kingdom is literal, spiritual as well as physical one day.
