What happens when old Adam dies?
God imparts a new divine nature to the one in Christ. That new nature is divine, placed there by an act of God, and cannot sin. The old flesh and old Adam remain, still capable of tripping us up, but the new man cannot sin.
Les explains that when old Adam dies, God again imparts to us a new divine nature, and that new nature cannot sin because it is divine and placed there by an act of God. The old flesh and old Adam remain, still capable of tripping us up, but so far as the new man is concerned, it cannot sin. This follows the truth that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away, and all things are become new.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
