Are these acts of God things that a man can do or touch?
No. These are all acts of God, and no man can touch them. They were done by Him and Him alone, not by human effort or human touch. A person cannot perform or access them by his own ability; they are God's work on behalf of believers.
Les teaches that these are all acts of God and that no man can touch them, because it was all done by Him and Him alone. He connects this to the fifth item: along with all the other things God has done on our behalf, He has reckoned us as crucified with Christ. Crucifixion can only put to death, so believers have been, in the minds of God, put to death. This goes back to the first law God gave the human race—Adam and Eve, 'the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die'—and the principle that the soul that sinneth shall surely die. Since the law determines every human being is a sinner because we are sons of Adam, every human being has to die. Les calls this a loophole: God died in our place, yet we still have to experience that same death He experienced in the person of Christ, which is called substitution. He then points to Romans 6, verse 6.
