What did Christ's death completely fulfill?

The death of Jesus Christ completely fulfilled everything a holy God could possibly demand. It opened the way into the holiest of holies, God's very presence, making access available not only to the high priest on the Day of Atonement but to everybody. His finished work accomplished everything needed, so man's attempts to add works are an embarrassment to God.

Les explains that when Christ died, He so completely fulfilled everything that a holy God could possibly demand. The way into the very holiest of holies—the very presence of God—was opened and made available, not just to the high priest on the Day of Atonement, but to everybody. Because everything we need has already been accomplished, man's attempt to add, I've got to do this or that, is an embarrassment to God, for He says, It's done. The righteousness of God was unveiled, the veil was rent from top to bottom, and man could look right into the holy of holies. Les also connects this to justification: God's judicial act declaring the sinner just as if he had never sinned. The whole sin problem began in Adam, and everyone was in Adam.
