How successful was Paul's ministry to the Jewish people by Acts 27?
By Acts 27, Paul's ministry to the Jewish people had not succeeded in making any dents in their hard armor. Israel continued to reject her Messiah, and they wanted nothing to do with Paul or his message. Their rejection and fall meant salvation went to the Gentiles, as Paul's final move to the nation ended in rejection.
Les explains that Paul went to Jerusalem contrary to many warnings, which raises questions about whether he was being pig-headed or whether it was God's intended plan. Les feels Paul got there despite roadblocks because it was where he had to make his final move to the nation of Israel. There, Israel had to make their final decree to send him away; they did not want anything to do with him or his message. Paul appealed to Roman authorities, who rescued him. As Acts continues, Israel keeps rejecting her Messiah, and because of that rejection and fall, salvation goes to the Gentile. By Acts 27, Les says Paul had not succeeded in making any dents in the hard armor of the Jewish people.
