Why should we thank God that Paul went to Europe instead of Asia?

We should thank God because He ordained the gospel of grace to go west to Europe, not east to Asia. When Paul carried it to Europe, it reached our forefathers, sparked the Reformations, the Industrial Revolution, and technology that set everything free. This direction shaped Europe's spiritual and cultural development.

Les explains that the Holy Spirit forbade Paul and his companions from going further into Asia, because God had something else in mind. Paul came down to Troas, received the vision of the man of Macedonia, and immediately went into Macedonia. Luke joined him, using the personal pronoun “we.” Les teaches that God had long before ordained that this gospel of grace should not go east to the Orient but west to Europe. He says that in prayer we should thank God He sent Paul over to Europe rather than back to Asia, because when the gospel went to Europe, that was our forefathers, and the gospel set everything moving in Europe. All the Reformations, the Industrial Revolution, and the technology that came out of Europe set everything free.
