What comparison does Les draw between Israel and America?
The comparison is between Israel when she was under God's leadership and covenant people, and America today. America has had much opportunity to receive the truth of God's Word, but is throwing it out and rejecting it. Unless there is a turning back, the nation is doomed.
Les explains that the comparison is between Israel when she was still under God's leadership and was still the covenant people, and America today. He says he cannot help but draw that analogy. In Acts 13, Paul and Barnabas declared that the Word of God had to be spoken first to the Jews, but they put it from them. Yet the Gentiles were hungry for the Word and received the gospel that Christ died and rose again. Les sees the same pattern in America: America has had so much opportunity to have the truth of the Word of God, but is throwing it out and rejecting it. He mentions material from liberal denominational headquarters containing filthy, pornographic language being promoted throughout large denominations. He warns that God will not stand for it unless there is a tremendous turning back to the truth of this Book, and says America is doomed.
