Where were the early churches listed in Paul's letters and Acts located?
The churches listed in Paul’s letters and in the Book of Acts were all situated in the western half of Turkey, known in biblical times as Asia Minor. This region held the basic early churches, so the locations were concentrated in that area.
Les teaches that as Paul and Barnabas came up into Asia Minor, they entered the area where all of the basic early churches were located. He explains that all the churches listed in Paul’s letters and in the Book of Acts were in that western half of Turkey, which in biblical times was called Asia Minor. Les also notes that he will put a map on the board to show this region, emphasizing that these early churches were concentrated there, not elsewhere.
