Where did Paul establish churches and when did he start writing his letters?
Paul established churches throughout Asia Minor, Greece, and Antioch in Syria during his Gentile ministry from about A.D. 40 until he became a prisoner in Rome about A.D. 65. He began writing his letters from about A.D. 58–59, once the churches needed doctrine, correction, and instruction.
Les explains that Paul did most of his ministry among the Gentiles and established churches from about A.D. 40 until he ended up a prisoner in Rome about A.D. 65. Those churches were throughout Asia Minor, Greece, and Antioch in Syria. From about A.D. 58–59, because the churches had been established and now needed doctrine, correction, and instruction, the Holy Spirit prompted Paul to begin writing his various letters. This follows the earlier study of Romans and then the letter to the church at Corinth.
