Does the Body of Christ have an earthly headquarters?
The Body of Christ has no earthly headquarters. Denominations may have headquarters, but the true church's headquarters is in heaven. It includes every born-again believer, whether Jew or Gentile, placed into Christ at the moment of salvation. Therefore, the true church's headquarters is heavenly, not an earthly city or denomination.
Les explains that the Body of Christ is the real New Testament church, that consortium of every born-again believer, whether Jew or Gentile, black or white, all placed into the Body of Christ at the moment they are saved. Denominations may have their headquarters, but the Body of Christ, the true church, has no earthly headquarters. Its headquarters is in heaven. Les also notes that Paul never claimed to be the only one, merely the first and leader, and that the Holy Spirit sent Paul and Barnabas out from Antioch, showing God's providential control.
