Les Feldick Bible Study

What did Les say is the only Gospel?

The only Gospel is that Christ died for me and for you, paid my sin penalty, suffered in my place, shed His divine, pure, precious blood in total payment for sin, was buried, and arose from the dead powerful and victorious.

Les teaches that the Gospel has been reduced by many to clichés such as “come and take Jesus into your heart,” “just believe in Jesus,” or “take Him as your personal Savior.” He says those phrases are well and good as far as they go, but they are not the Gospel, and multitudes invited down an aisle to take Jesus as Savior are not hearing the Gospel. Les stands on his heels to proclaim the Gospel is only one thing: Christ died for me and for you, paid the sin penalty, suffered in my place, and shed His divine, pure, precious blood as total payment for sin. He was buried, truly dead, and arose powerful and victorious, so because He lives, you and I live and will live. Once a person understands and believes that, then Christ is taken into the heart and becomes personal Savior.
