What Gospel do we proclaim today according to Les?
Today we proclaim the Gospel of God’s saving grace: how Christ died according to the predeterminate counsel of God and fulfilled God’s purposes in the plan of redemption, not only for Israel but for the whole human race. This is the message of His saving grace.
Les explains that today we proclaim the Gospel of God’s saving grace, how that Christ died according to the predeterminate counsel of God. He connects this to the Abrahamic covenant, where God promised that in Abraham all the families of the earth would be blessed. That blessing would come about by Israel’s Messiah being crucified and becoming the object of faith, not just for Israel but for the whole world. Christ came and fulfilled God’s purposes in bringing about the plan of redemption for the whole human race. Les also points out that as soon as God announced this plan through Abraham, Satan went into high gear to thwart God’s program, constantly fighting God’s dealing with the nation of Israel, because all the prophecies rest on Israel.
