What does Christ's resurrection guarantee for us?
Christ's resurrection, being powerful and victorious, guarantees that because He lives, we know that we live and will live. His resurrection confirms the Gospel: He died for our sin penalty, was buried, and rose again, so that we have life in Him.
Les teaches that the true Gospel is not clichés like 'take Jesus into your heart' or 'just believe in Jesus.' The Gospel is that Christ died for me and for you, paid my sin penalty, suffered in my place, and shed His divine, pure, precious blood in total payment for your sin and mine. He was buried, really dead, and then arose from the dead powerful and victorious. Because He lives, you and I know that we live and will live. That is the Gospel. Once a person understands and believes it, then they are taking Christ into their heart, and He becomes their personal Savior. Many are neglected and not told this, hearing everything but the Gospel.
