How did God begin moving the gospel toward the Gentile world?

God started moving the gospel toward the Gentiles by saving Saul, then accelerated it by sending Peter to Cornelius. After Saul returned from three years of learning and the revelation of the mysteries, Jewish believers who had preached only to Jews began speaking to Greeks, preaching the Lord Jesus, and many believed.

Les explains that God started the ball rolling toward the Gentile world when He saved Saul, and then speeded it up when He sent Peter up to Cornelius. By this point Saul has returned from his three years of learning and the revelation of the mysteries, so the Gospel is ready to go out to the Gentiles. The context notes that Grecians were Jews not native to Palestine, while Greeks are Gentiles. Therefore, Jewish believers who had preached to none but Jews now begin speaking to Greeks and preaching the Lord Jesus. The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned unto the Lord.
