How did God plan to reach the Gentile nations in the Old Testament?

In the Old Testament, God's plan was to reach the pagan, heathen Gentiles through Israel. He called Israel out, set them apart, and made them His covenant people so that they could one day go back to those Gentile nations and give them the knowledge of Jehovah God.

Les explains that the whole Old Testament program was that God would go to the pagan, heathen Gentiles through Israel. That was the purpose of calling Israel out, setting them apart, and making them His covenant people: they one day could go back into those pagan Gentiles and give them the knowledge of their Jehovah God. However, when Israel kept rejecting everything, God did something kept secret in His mind: He would turn to the Gentile without Israel. Les also points to Isaiah 42, where the Servant, Christ the Messiah of Israel, shall bring forth judgment or rule through the Gentiles.
