Who were some of the men scattered from Jerusalem?

The men scattered from Jerusalem included men of Cyprus, the island, men of Cyrene, a city in North Africa, and men of Antioch, the city in Syria. These scattered believers went everywhere preaching, but only to Jews at first. When they came to Antioch, they preached the Lord Jesus to the Grecians.

Les explains that the believers scattered from Jerusalem after Stephen's death, about 12-13 years after Pentecost, were migrating up to Antioch, north of Palestine. The 12 disciples stayed in Jerusalem, but all the rest of the believers had left. These scattered believers went everywhere preaching, but initially only to Jews. Some of them were men of Cyprus, the island, men of Cyrene, a city in North Africa, and men of Antioch, the city in Syria. When they came to Antioch, they spoke unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. Les notes this is a place where the King James may not be exactly perfect.

Acts 11:20

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.
