Who stayed in Jerusalem when all the believers were scattered?

According to the account, when great persecution arose against the assembly at Jerusalem, every believing Jew was scattered abroad throughout Judea and Samaria, except the Apostles. The Apostles stayed in Jerusalem; they did not flee, while the other believers ran for their lives.

Les explains that at that time there was a great persecution against the Assembly at Jerusalem, headed up by Saul, who was more than consenting and was leading the rebellion. Because Les is a literalist and a stickler for every word of Scripture, he takes “all” to mean every Jew who had embraced Christ as the Messiah. They were all scattered abroad throughout Judea and Samaria, except the Apostles. Every believing Jew had to run for his life, yet the very leaders of those Jewish believers sat tight. Everybody fled except the Apostles. Les notes this is seven years after Pentecost.
