Where does Peter disappear from the book of Acts?
Peter last appears in Acts chapter 11, where a brief mention is made of him. After that point, Scripture never mentions Peter again through the end of the book. His disappearance follows Saul's conversion in Acts 9 and Peter's visit to Cornelius in Acts 10, marking Israel's decline and the Gentiles' ascendancy.
Les teaches that after the stoning of Stephen, the next event of importance is the conversion of Saul of Tarsus. Even though Peter goes to the house of Cornelius in chapter 10, after Saul is converted in Acts 9, chapter 10 has Peter, chapter 11 has a little mention of Peter, and from then until the end of Acts Peter is never mentioned again. Les calls this amazing and explains it is because Israel is now falling out of all the things God had promised, the Gentiles make an ascendancy, and the Body of Christ comes in. This fits the transitional aspect of the book of Acts.
