Why was Jesus able to do good and heal those oppressed by the devil?
Scripture says God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Because God was with Him, He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. His miracles flowed from that divine anointing and presence, not from human ability alone.
Les teaches that in Acts chapter 10 Peter explains the word God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ. Peter says God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. So the reason Jesus could do good and heal those oppressed by the devil was God’s anointing, power, and presence with Him. Les also notes Jesus remained within the borders of Palestine and Israel because He came to fulfill the Abrahamic promises and covenant.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
