How long was it before Saul went to Jerusalem to visit Peter?
After three years had passed, Saul went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, as referenced in Galatians. Upon arriving, he attempted to join the disciples there, but they were afraid and did not believe he was a disciple until Barnabas brought him to the apostles.
Les explains that after three years had gone by, Saul came up to Jerusalem to visit with Peter, as he said in Galatians. He came to Jerusalem, verse 26, and intended to join himself to the disciples, the Jewish believers there. But they were all afraid of him and did not believe he was a disciple, thinking he might be going underground like a mole. Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, Peter, James, and John, and declared how Saul had seen the Lord in the way and had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. Saul was then with them, coming in and going out at Jerusalem, speaking boldly and disputing against the Grecians, who were non-Palestine Jews. They sought to kill him.
