Where has God placed His Word and who is allowed to handle it?

God has placed His Word, with the Holy Spirit's leading, into the hands of every person who wants to handle it. He did not leave it under the control of angels or highly educated seminarians. It is therefore available to ordinary people, not restricted to elite or angelic custodians.

Les explains that in the account of Philip, God did not leave His Word under the control or in the hands of angels, nor in the control of highly educated seminarians. Instead, God has placed His Word, with the leading of the Holy Spirit, into the hands of every person who wants to handle it. Les notes that when someone is to be made aware of the plan of salvation, God does not send an angel or a super-educated person; He uses common, ordinary people. Les has observed only one or two people who came to salvation by simply reading the Bible alone, such as a gentleman snowbound at 19 in northern Canada with nothing to read but the Bible. Otherwise, it takes a human instrument, as Philip was.
