Why does God make believers a new creation in Christ?
The purpose is to bring glory to Him. God's divine fingers enter the believer's life, forming a new creature and new creation in Christ so that the believer no longer lives to self but lives to glorify His name. This is God's stated purpose for the new creation.
Les teaches that God's divine fingers have come into our life, and He has put us together as a new creature and a new creation in Christ for the purpose of bringing glory to Him. We are not to live to self, but to live to bring glory to His name. The world ridicules this, but Les explains that the world has only about seventy years on average—that is their heaven. Believers, however, have ages upon ages ahead, and the most beautiful estate on this planet is like a smelly pig pen by comparison. Scripture says, "Eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard the things that God has prepared for them that love Him." Les says he does not need much in this life because all the best is yet to come, not just for him but for everyone that believes.
