What are the three promises in the Abrahamic covenant that Les explains?

The Abrahamic covenant is basically three promises: from Abraham would come a nation of people, Israel; that nation would receive its own geographical land, the promised land; and it would have a government, with God Himself coming as King, Messiah, Redeemer, and Savior, bringing salvation. All other covenants are wrapped inside this one.

Les explains that the Abrahamic covenant was basically three promises, and all the other covenants are wrapped up inside it. The first promise was that out of Abraham would come a nation of people, the nation of Israel. The second was that once they became a nation, God would put them in their own geographical area of land—the promised land as understood in Scripture, or today again the nation of Israel. The third was that people in a geographical area must have a government, so God Himself in the person of the Messiah would come to be their King and Messiah, and also their Redeemer, their Savior; salvation had to be included. Les adds that a kingdom cannot exist without a king, and a king is of no earthly use without a kingdom, so the two must come together. When Jesus came and John the Baptist presented Him as Israel’s King, the kingdom was in the long view, and this is what Israel was to have understood.
